As a resident of Edinburgh, I was looking for a short getaway and The Gatsby in Aberdeenshire exceeded my expectations. The 1898 house is charming and has been tastefully renovated. I stayed in a double room that was incredibly comfortable. The local area offers so much to do, from visiting castles to tasting whiskey at nearby distilleries. The hot tub was a great way to end the day, and the games room was a hit with my kids. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The Gatsby in Torphins was a fantastic find for our family vacation. The house, built in 1898, has been wonderfully renovated. We stayed in the twin room, which was cozy and beautifully decorated. There’s so much to do in the area – we explored some of the 300 castles and visited a couple of distilleries. The house itself has great amenities like a family room and a hot tub, which we enjoyed every evening. Highly recommend for a unique and luxurious stay
